Time has turned once again
For those who may, take the stand
Promises are made, not meant to keep
To a silent people who are fast asleep
A
country bleeds within its walls
Talks of strength and young men tall
Parents sob as their children die
And tell themselves they understand why
The
eagle is perched upon his rest
Ignoring the pleas from his own nest
A warning cry to this mighty bird
One day the eaglets will be heard
